With executive expertise and experience in social enterprise development, small business start-ups, management, complex budgeting, and philanthropic fund development, Sally Little provides sound advice and counsel to both business and nonprofit ventures. Her monograph, Nonprofit Management: Resources, Operations and Governance is a selection of updated and timely columns that she wrote from 2002 through 2006 as a guest columnist for the Pacific Business News. Her columns as printed are archived under articles and publications. She has a passion for creating earned income ventures and social enterprises within tax-exempt nonprofit corporations. As a dedicated social entrepreneur, she developed and taught nonprofit social entrepreneurship at Leeward, Maui, and Hawaii community colleges. She presently serves as an adjunct graduate business faculty member at Chaminade University and teaches Social Enterprise Management. As Executive Director of PATCH, Hawaii's Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, she was responsible for structuring and implementing a for profit nanny service for hotel guests on the island of Hawaii. She has written business plans for both nonprofit and small businesses, including the Oahu Arts Center and A Group Industrial. She was the consultant for the social enterprise category for the University of Hawaii Business Plan Competition. Her degrees include an MBA from the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. Sally is a Weinberg Fellow. She is a member of the Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, the Social Enterprise Alliance, and Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honor society. She has served as a finalist judge for both the University of Hawaii Business Plan Competition as well as The Hogan/Bank of Hawaii Nonprofit Business Plan Competition at Chaminade University. |
